What is the role of Supporter Experience on the road to recovery?
Here's my write up of the recent conference organised by the Supporter Experience Special Interest Group of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising.
My notes from what was an excellent conference are below.
Always good to start a session by talking about the weather - it's certainly a good metaphor for how quickly things are changing right now!
I'm at the @CIOFtweets @CIOFSupporterXP conference for the keynote panel: The role of #SupporterExperience on the road to recovery.
@CIOFtweets @CIOFSupporterXP @andywatts27 @Ciara_Tamar @MehreenSyed11 What have we learned about supporters?
"We learned that we already knew quite a lot about our supporters. They're incredibly engaged already. We were open and hones, talked about how the pandemic affected us. We sent personalised comms on how they could help."
@CIOFtweets @CIOFSupporterXP @andywatts27 @Ciara_Tamar @MehreenSyed11 "We're trying to have as many touch points with them as possible. We've had more engagement from it than we did before. Covid gave us the time to plan and think about what we could do differently to keep that engagement. Giving is personal."@MehreenSyed11 #SupporterExperience
@CIOFtweets @CIOFSupporterXP @andywatts27 @Ciara_Tamar @MehreenSyed11 We've found that people are still just as passionate about supporting us.@chriskeating
I hope that trusts continue to make it as easy as possible to apply to them.@andywatts27
