So, if you read my blog from yesterday covering day 1 of the IFC in Holland, welcome back! If you didn’t, then welcome anyway!
Today, I was back for more of the same, and here’s a sneak preview of this write up: it was very good.
There was so much to chew on and sage advice to keep in mind in the first session I attended, presented by Maeve Strathy and Rachel Hunnybun.
How can we ensure we are resilient, so that we can effect change? How can we avoid burnout (beautifully described as stress’s evil step brother) so that we can make waves and not drown?
I particularly liked the killler question to ask when pushing for a decision on activity:

Next up was Reuben Turner, who spoke about ‘fundraising in the upside down,’ addressing ten potential myths that we need to rethink.
He made lots of important points. Do we need to reconsider concepts we’ve long held dear (such as fundraising funnels, relationship fundraising, aiming for exponential growth) in these ‘disrupted’ times?
