“Hercule isn’t being a sheep. He’s drawing the sheep.” My notes from I Wish I’d Thought of That 2022 #IWITOT10
It was a real pleasure to attend IWITOT (I Wish I'd Thought Of That) again on its tenth anniversary. A lovely event at which fundraisers talk about ideas by other fundraisers that they wish they'd thought of. In a top line-up, there were some real highlights. As ever, my notes from every single awesome speaker can be found below.
There's plenty of brilliant fundraising examples here. Enjoy.
So excited to attend #IWITOT10 online this afternoon that my head is sideways. One of my fave events when fundraisers talk about other charities' work they wish they'd thought of. My notes will be in this thread. See you there, kind of? Online tickets still available. https://t.co/7HvEUEzVST
"And I'm just getting... I'm just getting [John Cleese as TV presenter doing election coverage holds finger to ear]... a high pitched whining noise in my left ear" Monty Python quote... #IWITOT10
Online feed is introduced by @joshleighonline who I think I first saw talking at this very event about goats appearing in Zoom calls and somehow fundraising at the same time. Was this a fever dream? It feels peak 2020. #IWITOT10
Now cutting seamlessly live to James Briggs, co-founder of @LifeAtOpen.
"Seven minutes for an idea that you wish you'd had ... What's wonderful is that we do share as a sector. That's a really powerful thing."
