“Has there been any news this year?” My notes from Fundraising Everywhere 2020
I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since I, against my better judgement, decided to live tweet the whole 12 hour debut conference from the wonderful team at Fundraising Everywhere. The experience nearly broke me, but I did learn so much from all those sessions!
And what a year it’s been, eh?
Anyway, here are my notes from the 2020 Fundraising Everywhere conference. As ever, click through to the Twitter threads for all the notes, including screengrabs. There are some superb presentations in there.
Excited to be at the #FundraisingEverywhere conference. Looks like I'm sat next to @WayneTheMurray this time but my fault for turning up late. š My notes will be in a thread below. pic.twitter.com/HsqtR9uwPc

If the thread breaks in the middle (I got a bit excited during one particularly good presentation by Gabi, and literally lost the thread), you can pick it up again by clicking through from here:
Now @HannahLangtonSC for #showthesalary:

It's easier for organisations to dismiss people who bring this up, but #showthesalary has found a way to amplify their voices.
After only 2 months, over 100 organisations have signed the pledge to always #showthesalary on job ads!

Special shout out in particular to the two highlights for me (although everything I attended was good): Gabi Field on how she quadrupled income from community & events at Refuge; and a discussion between Martha Awojobi, Rini Jones and & Haseeb Shabbir, on what if anything has changed since July’s #BAMEonline conference.
Haseeb: When we talk about change and awareness of the issue, there *has* been change. You've disrupted the narrative in the sector. No doubt. But there's so much to do to convert these conversations into tangible outcomes. It's kickstarted a learning journey for the sector. pic.twitter.com/Je3jPSx2QQ

Happy birthday, Nikki and Simon! Thank you for bringing us these excellent events.
