
“Love your donors into feeling better” – notes from #bbcon 2020
bbcon 2020 Virtual is billed as "the ultimate conference experience for every person and organization using technology to build a better world". Quite a bold statement, but it was backed up by a top notch speaker line up, so I was excited to attend.
As ever, my notes from the conference are below. There's some genuine gold in there, so do check it out.

Make a plan. Who is it for? Get other teams involved. Give yourselves plenty of time. Have a code red plan - for if things go wrong, eg additional streams. Keep it simple for attendees. No software to download or login. Remove friction! Nikki Bell
Start with the experience of the attendee rather than your great ideas. Will it be simple and enjoyable? Scale it back, eg number of tracks, no session longer than 45 minutes (overwhelming for people), also 15 minutes and power sessions. Keep it flowing.
